Reflection: More than ever, we have students with complex needs who need multiple wrap around services. These supports will only become available through being proactive and forming extensive partnerships. When believing that learning is the vehicle for social equity and change, we must also collaborate to influence adequate funding. Overall, public education is the great equalizer in society and we must advocate to provide a robust system that offers all students the opportunity to reach their highest capacities. In addition, we contribute to our communities in meaningful ways to demonstrate our commitment. This service also serves as role modelling to teach our learners that it is important to be a contributing citizen.
