Fave Quote: Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality – Warren Bennis
Personal Leadership Qualities: Guides continuous improvement; facilitates change through data analysis, research, and implementation of innovative practice; communicates to provide clarity
Reflection: Vision provides the destination; it is vital to provide a pathway and specific goals so that all members of the learning community are clear on outcomes. Most helpful in supporting the realization of this vision is to co-create a common set of values. These values can be revisited in every plan and decision making process; as well, they can be used to filter data and measures of progress to inform next steps or revision. We cannot get caught up in the many complex parts of our learning practices; we must strive to maintain balance through keeping our eyes on the big picture. Feedback on my leadership practice is that I am a visionary who is also able to put innovative implementation plans into action.
